The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Asset Accounting Officer to join our growing Finance and Procurement Services team.
As an Asset Accounting Officer, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our asset accounting processes meet Australian Accounting Standards and Treasurer’s Instructions. You’ll provide expert advice, deliver training, and work closely with project managers and internal stakeholders to support accurate financial reporting and compliance. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a complex environment, enjoys working with a wide range of people, and can confidently interpret accounting standards while explaining technical concepts in a clear, practical way. This is your opportunity to join DTMI and be involved in our large-scale capital works and complex programs, ranging from maritime infrastructure to intangible projects.

There is currently 1x permanent, full-time position available for immediate filling.
The successful applicant/s assessed as suitable through this process may receive further offers of employment (fixed term or permanent) in this or similar roles for a period of twelve (12) months from date of first appointment.
About you
- Solid experience in asset accounting and applying Australian Accounting Standards.
- Strong analytical skills to tackle complex accounting challenges and find practical solutions.
- Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, from project managers to finance teams, and build strong relationships.
- Comfortable presenting and delivering training to others, making technical concepts easy to understand.
- Skilled at managing priorities and meeting deadlines in a busy environment.
- Works well independently and collaboratively.
