Team Leader - Pool
Pool Ref LA25747
PSCA 2024, General Division Level 4, up to $96,660 gross per annum + super + benefits

This pool recruitment process will be used to fill permanent, fixed term, full time and part time vacancies that may arise over a period of 2 years from the date of finalisation of the recruitment process. Fixed term appointments may be made with the possibility of extension/s and/or permanency.

There is currently one permanent position available on a fulltime bases, with several other fixed term vacancies likely to arise over the next 12 months.  

About the role

We are seeking candidates who are adaptable, value-driven, client-focused in their approach to service delivery, and skilled at navigating varying levels of complexity for Team Leader roles. These roles present an opportunity to demonstrate a broad range of skills, including reporting, staff management and providing support on initiatives or projects. Legal Aid has various positions available across the organisation, including the Early Intervention Services Division and the Family Law Division. In these roles, you will lead teams that:

  • triage clients to determine the best legal and non-legal services, this may be over the phone or in person at Legal Aid WA or the Family Court of WA,
  • support Legal Aid lawyers in the delivery of a variety of services.

This position also provides high-level reporting and administrative support to the management teams and works collaboratively within the area and wider organisation to ensure smooth service delivery. Please note as a part of working collaboratively you may be required to rotate to other areas or business units within the Division.

There are varied duties across the roles which include:

  • Coordinating omnichannel operations;
  • Recruitment and training of paralegals and administration officers;
  • Assisting with internal and external stakeholder engagement;
  • Assisting with day-to-day management of the service;
  • Development of guides and processes to ensure effective and streamlined operations; and
  • Provision of high level reporting and administrative support to the management team in the relevant area.
