There are currently two (2) fixed term 24-month positions available for immediate filling.

We are seeking talented and motivated individuals with a passion for achieving outcomes to join the WA Stolen Generations Redress Scheme team.

The Stolen Generations Redress team will deliver the WA Stolen Generations Redress Scheme (WASGRS), which includes facilitating individual payments to Aboriginal people who are found eligible under the Scheme.  The team will work in partnership with Aboriginal stakeholder organisations to support communications, scheme roll-out and delivery.

There are several fixed term opportunities available for up to two years in this newly established team.

The positions available for immediate filling are:

  • Principal Policy Officer – Level 7 (DPCT4206); and
  • Senior Project Officer – Level 6 (DPCT4207).

 About the Roles

As the Principal Policy Officer (Level 7) you will provide high level strategic advice to the Assistant Director in relation to the development, coordination, implementation and review of the WASGRS project.  The role will focus on project controls and contract management. In relation to project controls, your role will include project management, work planning, reporting, budget management, risk management. In relation to contract management, the role will involve overseeing relationships with external service providers engaged to support the Scheme, with responsibility for managing contracts, ensuring compliance, evaluating performance and value for money, and fostering productive partnerships.

We are looking for a team player with experience in the delivery of time-critical projects that can work with both internal and external stakeholders to resolve potential issues, manage policy conflicts and deliver project outcomes.

The Senior Project Officer (Level 6) role sits within the Policy team and will involve developing and managing policy matters associated with the Scheme. You will contribute to shaping strategic direction and ensuring alignment with broader government objectives.

Successful candidates will demonstrate adaptability and a proactive approach, with the ability to shift focus in response to evolving project priorities as directed by the Assistant Director.
