If you are a dynamic, experienced information management leader, able to deliver high quality business information management services while supporting the achievement of organisational objectives then you could be our next Manager Information Management.

The Manager Information Management is responsible for managing the delivery of high-quality business information management services, to enable the achievement of organisational objectives. As the Manager Information Management, you will develop and maintain strong relationships with business leaders to build the department’s digital capability; anticipate business information management issues and coordinate solutions; facilitate accountability, transparency and collaboration; and ensure access in accordance with relevant legislation. You will also lead staff and foster an environment of trust and commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

This role will also be the designated Information Sharing Officer for the Department, under the upcoming Privacy and Responsible Information Sharing Act 2024.

There is one permanent, full-time position. This process may be used to fill future similar permanent or fixed-term positions that may arise within the Department and across the WA public sector in the next 12 months from the initial date of appointment. 

Our Perth office is located in the Perth CBD in a convenient location, above the Perth Underground rail; close to the Wellington Street Bus Station and City CAT services.

To be successful for this position, you need to demonstrate: 

  • Demonstrated experience in information or records management within a medium to large organisation, with a strong focus on digital-first transformation, and the provision of strategic information management guidance, support and leadership.
  • Proven ability to accurately interpret and effectively apply legislation, standards, and compliance requirements related to the management of government and public information and delivery of digital services within the Western Australian Government context.
  • Extensive knowledge of current and emerging trends in digital information management as well as the management of physical information.
