This is for a fixed term full-time role at 1.0 FTE
(Full Time Equivalent) for 12 months.
Whilst this selection process will initially be used
to fill this vacancy, it may also be used to appoint applicants,
assessed as suitable during this selection process, to the same or
other similar positions at CAHS for up to 12 months.
These can be permanent full time, permanent part time or fixed term
full time, fixed term part time opportunities with the possibility
of extension and/or permanency.
About Our
Team:
The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services
(CAMHS) in Western Australia offer support, advice and
treatment to children and adolescents from birth to 18 years who
are experiencing mental health challenges.
CAHS helps children grow and thrive and we offer these same
opportunities to the nurses who join our team. Our team-oriented
approach allows for extensive clinical upskilling, and leadership
development opportunities for nurses of all levels.
About the
Role:
This role is responsible for planning, developing, and
delivering training programs for CAMHS staff through both
face-to-face and web-based formats. It involves designing learning
and development initiatives, including e-learning packages, in
collaboration with subject matter experts. The position coordinates
and evaluates education programs to meet individual, service, and
organizational needs, while also facilitating practical training
sessions such as Basic Life Support. A key focus is maintaining
consistent training resources, analyzing evaluation data to
identify trends, and consulting with managers and the CAMHS
Learning & Development steering committee to ensure best-practice
solutions. Additionally, the role oversees orientation programs and
manages all training logistics, including scheduling, attendance
records, and resource efficiency.
What You’ll Bring:
- Proven experience in developing, implementing,
facilitating, and evaluating learning and development
programs.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and
contemporary strategies, including computer-based and web-based
training methods.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and consultation
skills with the ability to build relationships and solve
problems collaboratively.
- Proficiency in needs analysis, evaluation processes, and
the use of modern training/presentation software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team,
supported by relevant qualifications (or progress towards),
such as possession or progress towards Certificate IV in
Training and Assessment is desirable, and commitment to Equal

for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised
