About the Team:

Housing Management Services manages approximately 39,000 Public Housing tenancies across the State. Government Regional Officers Housing (GROH) and Community Housing (rental housing managed by Local Government or non-Government not-for-profit organisations) and bond assistance (interest-free loans to obtain accommodation in the private rental market) fall under the Division, with close links to Aboriginal Housing, on the principles:

The Department of Communities also has a strong focus on providing home ownership opportunities to public housing tenants.

About The Role:

As Property Services Officer, you will be responsible for managing, controlling and monitoring the property maintenance functions for a designated number of Public Housing properties within the Housing Management Services area as part of a team, ensuring compliance, accountability and quality control is maintained.

As part of your duties as a Property Services Officer, you will inspect Public Housing properties, issue maintenance works and inspect completed works, to ensure properties are maintained appropriately and for contract compliance. Communicating with a diverse group of stakeholders, including tenants, real estate agents, contractors, government agencies, local authorities and departmental staff is required to ensure that an excellent customer focused service is delivered.
