About The Role:

The Manager Internal Budget coordinates the development and implementation of the Department’s budget framework and management accounting services in accordance with government policy, legislation and accounting standards, supporting the strategic needs of the Department of Housing and Works (DHW). The role provides significant financial analysis and specialist advice across budget development, monitoring, forecasting and resource allocation, including the preparation and coordination of annual budget processes, budget inputs and adjustments, and oversees responses to auditor and Treasury queries. The role ensures the integrity and effective management of internal budgets, cashflows and financial information, leads a small team to deliver accurate, timely and reliable budget outcomes in a complex operating environment, and oversees key annual external reporting, including, but not limited to, Cost of Services disclosures in the Annual Report, Report on Government Services (ROGS), Commonwealth reporting and Royalties for Regions.
