About the role

Lead the transformation of corporate information systems at the Public Transport Authority. As Manager, Corporate Information Systems (CIS), you will play a pivotal role in delivering reliable, secure and efficient business systems that underpin critical operations across the organisation. This position is responsible for overseeing system administration, maintenance and continuous improvement, ensuring compliance with PTA standards and best practices. Systems managed by the team include the; Electronic Document and Records Management System, Intranet, Project Management System, and Enterprise Incidents, Hazards, Risk, Inspection and Audit System. You will manage vendor relationships, contracts and licensing to achieve cost-effective, high-quality solutions, while driving strategic initiatives that align technology with organisational goals.

The role provides strong leadership to a skilled team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture through workforce planning, staff development and performance management. You will identify opportunities for innovation, process optimisation and risk mitigation, ensuring privacy, security and continuity of essential information systems. With responsibility for service delivery, project oversight and strategic advice, this position offers the chance to influence outcomes and shape the future of digital systems within a dynamic public transport environment. To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Proven ability to lead and manage teams with clarity and purpose, providing direction, feedback and motivation to achieve outcomes. Skilled in building shared vision with stakeholders and translating it into actionable goals, supported by strong managerial capability across human, financial, project and physical resources.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to foster collaboration, negotiate and resolve conflict, influence outcomes at all levels, and promote a culture of open and transparent communication.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills, including the ability to interpret and communicate complex information, develop innovative solutions to challenges, and achieve targets and timelines through effective people management.
  • Extensive experience in software application development, administration and delivery within a modern development environment, combined with strong project leadership and change management skills.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-level customer service in an ITIL environment, with knowledge of government procurement practices and tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry experience.
