This is a
Recruitment Pool for Permanent and Fixed-Term positions working
Full-Time and Part-Time hours. For Fixed-Term appointments, there
is the possibility of extension and/or
permanency.

Eligibility to Apply: To be eligible for
appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed
term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident,
or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for
permanent appointments).
Other Conditions: WA Health engages
staff in positions of trust and responsibility. WA Health policies
require applicants to undertake a criminal records screening and
integrity checking as part of the appointment process. As well as
undertaking a criminal record screening and integrity checking, you
may also be required to undertake a working with children check (if
required for the role) and a pre-employment health assessment. We

Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which
appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments

Currently we have a Part-Time position that is a Fixed Term
opportunity while the substantive occupant is on a period of
Parental Leave.
Position Profile: We are currently seeking to
establish a pool of enthusiastic and suitably experienced
individuals to appoint to Work Health & Safety Consultant
positions. In this role, the successful applicants will provide a
comprehensive occupational health and safety consultancy service.
This role develops and implements injury prevention strategies and
programs aimed at a reduction in incidents and injuries and
fostering an organisation-wide safety culture. Key duties include,
but are not limited to;
- Identifies and develops control strategies for
risks/hazards;
- Provides advice and support on Work Health and Safety
matters to relevant hospital committees and working
groups;
- Performs duties in accordance with the EMHS Vision and
Values, WA Health Code of Conduct, Work Health and Safety
legislation, the Disability Services Act and the Equal
Opportunity Act and Government, WA Health, EMHS and
Departmental / Program specific policies and procedures.

Area Profile: The East Metropolitan Health Service
(EMHS) comprises an extensive hospital and health service network
that aims to maintain and improve the health and wellbeing of more
than 670,000 Western Australians in its catchment area.

tertiary, secondary and specialist health care services including
emergency and critical care, state trauma, elective and emergency
surgery, general medical, mental health, inpatient and outpatient
