About the role

The Creative Producer’s role is to develop, implement, resource, deliver and evaluate high quality public programs and experiences relating to the Western Australian Museum.   The role will be paramount to the creative development and scale mounting of medium to large scale cultural and digital public programs which enhance the Museum offering.

This role will focus on developing programs that contribute to the WA Museum’s rich engagement strategy, including producing talks and live arts experiences.

About you

We are looking for dynamic, self-motivated individual who loves working with partners to develop new creative ideas with the ability to turn them into reality.

The successful applicant will be expected to:

  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and on concurrent projects.
  • Be interested in producing high quality programs and events that focus on topical issues and stories across multiple genres.
  • Be organised and have close attention to detail when developing experiences and engagement.

  • A statement of no more than two (2) A4 pages addressing the following essential work-related requirements. Please provide relevant examples to support your claims:
  1. Experience in developing, programming, producing, implementing, resourcing, delivering, and evaluating large-scale creative and innovative public programs, activities, and events relevant to a cultural environment.
  1. Knowledge and interest in current topical issues, stories, engagement methods, and programming trends for a variety of audiences, and an understanding of how these impact the overall experience.
  1. Demonstrated project management skills, including budget development and management, financial and other record keeping and project administration.

To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have:

  • A valid Work Visa (for fixed-term appointments), or be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments) at the time of application.
