North Metropolitan Health Service (NMHS) 2026 Nephrology Fellow
Intake
This is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Full Time appointments
for 12 months with the possibility of an 18-month
appointment.
Suitable
applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be
made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made
from this pool until 31/05/2026.
Position Profile:
This position is suitable for senior
registrars or junior consultants of good standing who are about to
complete or have completed nephrology core training (as
pre-specified by the RACP-SAC Nephrology or equivalent training
overseas). This position will provide supervised clinical exposure
in all areas of nephrology, with a predominant focus on kidney
transplantation including understanding of the allocation system in
Australia, interpreting immunological risk profile, assessment of
potential kidney transplant candidates and potential live-kidney
donors. The candidate will be expected to participate in research
activity, with the aim to achieve at least one publication during
the 12-month period.

provides a comprehensive range of clinical service including
trauma, emergency and critical care, orthopaedics, general
medicine, general surgery and cardiac care. It is home to WA's only
comprehensive cancer centre - the largest cancer treatment centre
in the State - and is the State's principal hospital for
neurosurgery and liver transplants.
