An opportunity exists
for a talented and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Specialist to join
the Pilbara Mental Health and Drug Service team.
To be successful, you will
have...
- Knowledge and understanding of emotional, behavioural,
psychological and psychiatric disorders of children and
adolescents.
- Extensive experience as a Community Mental Health Nurse
with demonstrated expert level skill sin crisis intervention,
assessment and treatment of children & adolescents with mental
health problems
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and efficiently in
a multidisciplinary team and ability to work as an independent
practitioner
- Well-developed written and verbal communication and
interpersonal skills.
Position
Profile:
Responsible for assessment, risk &
crisis planning; including the delivery of clinical mental health
care to complex children & adolescents. And their families in the
Pilbara region. Provide a specialist clinical, consultant and
educational service to clients, carers and primary health care
providers. Demonstrate a positive commitment to modelling WACHS
values, safety and quality improvement and the Code of Conduct in
all aspects of their employment. Compliance with all relevant
policies, procedures, standards and legislation including
confidentiality and work health and safety policies.
This is a regional role and can be based at Hedland,
Karratha or Newman Health Campuses. The role requires the ability
to travel within the region as required, including overnight
stays.
