We currently have vacancies
for Clinical Nurse Managers at Next Step’s Integrated Community
Alcohol and Drug Services (CADS). The integrated sites are
Thornlie, Midland, Innaloo, Joondalup, Fremantle, Rockingham,
Mandurah and DAYS (Drug and Alcohol Youth Service). At the time of
the advertisement placing, we have vacancies at Joondalup,
Fremantle and Mandurah however candidates are encouraged to express
interest in sites of their preference.
In November
2024, Next Step Services transitioned into the Royal Perth Bentley
Group (RPBG) Hospital Logistics and Acute Access Division (HoLAA)
within the East Metropolitan Health
Service.
About the
Role
As Clinical Nurse Manager
you will be responsible for the coordination, leadership and
supervision of staff and services within your remit. The role
contributes to the development and monitoring of standards of
nursing practice, initiates quality improvement practices and
implements changes and improvements for the service. The position
also provides clinical and professional expertise to ensure
comprehensive evidence-based care is delivered to consumers and
coordinates the day-to-day operations of Next Step clinical
services.
The Clinical Nurse Manager
practices within their scope of practice, considerate of the
Nursing and Midwifery Board’s Nursing Practice Decision Flowchart.
Maintains a consumer case load within an Integrated Service
Delivery Model of Care. Promotes and develops effective working
relationships with external agencies.
In undertaking the role of
this position, the occupant will need to recognise that there is a
commitment to focusing on the needs of the individual, their
families, carers or advocates working in partnership for better
alcohol and other drug and mental health outcomes.
The successful candidate may
be required to work at other Integrated Clinical Service sites
based on operational needs.

Outpatient services at East
Perth and via integrated Community Alcohol and Drug Services at six
metropolitan locations

based at East Perth

youth services via the Integrated Drug and Alcohol Youth Service.
Community programs including the Community Pharmacotherapy Program

About
You
We are seeking an
experienced Clinical Nurse Manager to join this highly specialised
service that embraces a multidisciplinary approach to its
care.
You will be:
- Passionate about working
in drug and alcohol treatment services; prior experience with
Drug & Alcohol or other comorbidities will be given
preference.
- Have a
strong track record of leading a clinical team and dealing with
a broad range of stakeholders.
- Able to
understand and act within key boundaries and maintain a
professional relationship with consumers.
- Flexible, adaptable and
capable of learning within challenging
environments.
- Experienced in working
with consumers with challenging and complex
presentations.
- Enthusiastic about
working in a multidisciplinary environment.
