As we continue to grow and improve, we are seeking a Program Development Officer to join our team.  

About the Role 

Are you passionate about making a difference in Western Australia’s road safety and infrastructure? Main Roads WA is seeking a motivated Program Development Officer to join our Project Programming team. In this dynamic role, you’ll provide specialised support in developing, managing, and reporting on a range of road safety programs. You will also contribute to investment planning and business case preparation, helping shape the future of WA’s transport network.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the development and management of Main Roads works programs, monitoring progress against delivery targets and budgets
  • Undertake data analysis to guide program development and project selection
  • Advise on funding and programming options and report to external funding providers
  • Assist with investment planning and business case preparation
  • Contribute to Directorate and Branch business plans
  • Maintain and improve operational standards, programming procedures, and systems
  • Build and enhance relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Report to State and Commonwealth Governments and facilitate training on road programs
  • Represent Main Roads on external committees, public meetings, and workshops
  • Review project proposals and advise on effectiveness based on program guidelines
  • Actively participate in Safety, Health and Wellbeing (SHW) initiatives.
