This is a 15 month fixed term, part-time (0.5 FTE) position commencing Term 1, 2026

WA College of Agriculture - Denmark (WACOA - Denmark) is a 450-hectare working farm and educational facility for Year 10, 11 and 12 students offering a wide variety of studies and industry training with an agricultural focus. We attract students from all over the state from a wide variety of backgrounds and have a capacity of around 147 students – 96 boarders and 51 day students.

One of five Western Australian Colleges of Agriculture, Denmark provides quality education and training outcomes for young men and women across a diverse range of agricultural and related fields. The College delivers Australian Curriculum courses to Year 10 students and Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) courses to Year 11 and 12 students. As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), the College also delivers Certificate II qualifications across multiple industry areas, including Agriculture, Automotive, Engineering and Equine.

WACOA - Denmark was recently announced as a finalist in the 2025 WA Training Awards as WA Small Training Provider of the Year.

The Role

Join our team as a Gardener/Handyperson and contribute to fostering a positive learning environment! As a key member, you'll be instrumental in maintaining the school grounds, ensuring they are safe, tidy, and conducive to a positive environment for both students and staff. From overseeing the turf areas, garden beds, and shrubs to managing hard landscaping features like courts and paving, you'll play a vital role in creating an inviting and inspiring outdoor space.

Your commitment to maintaining gardening facilities, equipment, and tools in good condition will be integral to promoting a positive culture within the school. Collaborate with the Facilities Resource Coordinator to develop safe work procedures, undertake risk assessments, and ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation.
