Eligibility to
Apply: To be eligible for appointment, applicants must
have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an
Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and
work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent
appointments).

Conditions: WA Health engages staff in
positions of trust and responsibility. WA Health policies require
applicants to undertake a criminal records screening and integrity
checking as part of the appointment process. As well as undertaking
a criminal record screening and integrity checking, you may also be
required to undertake a working with children check (if required
for the role) and a pre-employment health assessment. We may ask

Suitable applicants will be
placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar

Position
Profile: The Board Assurance and Health Executive
Service team provides ongoing governance and management of the
Health Executive Service on behalf of the system manager in
accordance with policy and the Health Services Act
2016.
The team is also responsible
for supporting the Minister for Health in relation to recruitment
and appointment of members to health service provider and a number
of other statutory boards, as well as policy and assurance
functions for health service provider boards.
The team delivers these
functions in a fast paced and collaborative team
environment.
The Principal Policy and
Project Officer is a senior member of the team and is responsible
for the ongoing management of the Health Executive Service on
behalf of the system manager through developing and implementing
policies, projects, programs and plans.
Should you be successful, on
a daily basis you will exercise a range of skills - initiative,
critical thinking, problem solving and superior communication and
operate with a reasonable level of autonomy. You will be required
to develop and maintain effective strategic networks and
relationships with health service providers and within the
Department of Health. The role will provide opportunities for
growth and development of your leadership skills, including
supervision of staff, and assisting the Manager with more complex
matters.
