our dynamic Newman Government Dental Clinic team at Dental Health
Services (DHS).

What is our Dental Clinic
Assistant role?
The Dental Clinic Assistant supports the Dentist in the
day-to-day administration and running of the clinic as well as
providing chairside clinical assistance. This role involves
assisting during the examination and treatment of patients. You are
also responsible for maintaining patient records in accordance with
Dental Health Service policies.
Travel to outreach services and Aboriginal communities in
surrounding areas is required in this role.

Location
This position is in Newman. Newman originally named Mount Newman
until 1981, is a town in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
It is located about 1,186 kilometres (737 mi) north of Perth, and 9
kilometres (5.6 mi) north of the Tropic of Capricorn. It can be
reached by the Great Northern Highway. Newman is a modern mining
town, with homes contrasting with the surrounding reddish
desert.

services provider in WA, operating state-wide from a network of
fixed and mobile clinics, funded by the WA Government. DHS provides
the School Dental Service for children aged 5-16 years, General
Dental Services to eligible adults with a current health care card
or pension concession card, Subsidy Schemes and Special Dental
Services.
