Position
Profile
WA Country Health Service (WACHS)
is building a Health Promotion Officer recruitment
pool to fill multiple vacancies across country Western
Australia. Applicants are encouraged to indicate in their
application which regions or towns they would be interested in
relocating to, as opportunities will be available across the
state.
The Health Promotion Officer is a
dynamic and community-focused position. You will
work closely with local communities, key stakeholders, and your
line manager to, develop, plan, implement, and evaluate culturally
appropriate health promotion programs, address local, state, and
national population health priorities, collaborate with community
groups, service providers, and government agencies to improve
health outcomes and contribute to innovative strategies that
empower communities to make healthier choices. This role offers the
chance to make a tangible impact on the health and wellbeing of
people living in rural and remote WA.
We are seeking individuals who are
energetic and passionate about public health and improving
community-level health outcomes, skilled in early-stage program
development, implementation, and evaluation, strong communicators
who can engage effectively with diverse communities and
stakeholders and are adaptable, proactive, and committed to working
collaboratively in a team environment.
