Why we need you
We are seeking a self-motivated and committed individual to join the team in the Goldfields-Esperance Region. Our Boulder Office is a friendly work environment committed to supporting the regional community.
To be successful you will have:
- Proven experience in developing positive, collaborative and professional working relationships with stakeholders and customers.
- Demonstrated research, analysis and problem solving skills enabling investigation of traffic operational matters and road safety issues and prepare draft written correspondence and reports for the Minister, Local Government, other Government Agencies and the public.
- Ability to provide advice to Local Government, other agencies and traffic management professional on road use, traffic management and road safety matters with the appropriate customer focus.
- Strong skills, knowledge and experience in traffic engineering or management with a particular emphasis in the areas of traffic design, control devices and road safety.
About the Role
As a Network Operations Coordinator you will work in collaboration with the Network Operations Manager (NOM) in reviewing the use of the road network, investigating, developing, monitoring and recommending solutions to network efficiency and road safety issues ensuring compliance with required levels of service and standards are achieved.
You will conduct route assessments for the proposed heavy vehicle routes to be considered for inclusion to the Restricted Access Vehicle (RAV) network and in addition you will coordinate the review of traffic management plans, plans for traffic devices and provide advice to local government, HV operators and other road users on on issues relating the safe and efficient operation of the state road network..
