About to Role

We are looking for a Calibration Coordinator to join our Materials Engineering team and play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, reliability and safety of laboratory testing equipment used across Western Australia. In this role, you will coordinate the calibration, maintenance and repair of construction materials testing equipment, ensuring compliance with NATA Accreditation, safety regulations and quality standards.

You’ll oversee equipment inventories and asset movements, provide technical assessments and reports, and lead corrective and preventative actions to manage equipment performance and operational risk. The role also supports the commissioning and evaluation of new laboratory equipment, contributing technical advice, research and development insights.

In this role, you will supervise calibration staff and contractors, support the development and review of calibration procedures, and deliver on-the-job training in equipment standards and measurement principles. Strong stakeholder engagement is essential, as you’ll collaborate with internal teams, external partners, local government and community stakeholders.

Note – to be eligible for this position, you must be qualified to hold a licence in respect of radioactive substances (portable gauges – moisture and/or density). This licence is issued by the Radiological Council.
