This is a Recruitment pool for Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part Time, Fixed Term Full Time, Fixed Term Part Time or Casual, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency. 

We are looking for experienced and enthusiastic Clinical Nurses to join the Community Health team based in Carnarvon, Midwest region.

To be successful, you will have...

  • Effective verbal and written skills, especially advocacy and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of primary health care principles.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of delivering health promotion programs.
  • A current Western Australian driver’s licence.

Position Profile:

This position provides child health, immunisation and school health services to Carnarvon and the Gascoyne inreach sites.

This is an “open-ended” recruitment pool, and as such the following should be noted:

  • The panel will monitor this recruitment pool for applications and will assess on a regular basis.
  • Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur.
  • Appointments may be made from this pool until 20/05/2026

Centrally located on the coast of Western Australian, the Gascoyne region extends along 600 kilometres of the Indian Ocean coastline and about 500 kilometres inland with an area of 135,277 square kilometres and a population of approximately 9,500 people. featuring Australia’s largest fringing coral reef. Natural attractions include the Shark Bay World Heritage Area, and Monkey Mia in the south; Ningaloo Reef World Heritage Area in the north; Kennedy Ranges and Mount Augustus National Park to the east.
