This is a Permanent Full-Time appointment at 75 hours per
fortnight. The position may also be offered as Permanent Part Time,
Fixed Term Full Time and Fixed Term Part Time basis, with the
possibility of extensions.

About you
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic applicant for the
role of Principal Policy Officer - Lived Experience.
You will bring your own Lived Experience—as a consumer or family
member/significant other of mental ill health and/or alcohol and
other drug challenges—and use this perspective to provide
leadership and insight in shaping strategic initiatives. Your
ability to draw on this experience will be central to embedding
Lived Experience knowledge and practice across the mental health,
suicide prevention, and alcohol and other drug sectors.
About the Role
The Principal Policy Officer - Lived Experience is responsible
for the development and management of high-level strategic
strategies, policies, programs and projects to support stakeholder
engagement (including people with lived experience) and the growth
of the Lived Experience (Peer) Workforces both internally and
externally.
This position provides advice and undertakes complex research
and analysis in relation to this work and the implementation,
management and delivery of key strategic programs, initiatives and
projects.
In undertaking the role of this position, the occupant will need
to recognise that there is a commitment to focussing on the needs
of the individual, their families, carers or advocates working in
partnership for better alcohol and other drug outcomes and improved
mental health.
