Why Work With Us?
People and businesses rely on our roads to get to work, home and around Western Australia.
As the WA State Government Agency responsible for safely managing the State’s Road network, Main Roads Western Australia is committed to connecting people and places by delivering integrated and intelligent transport systems and services and providing safer roads and better journeys for our customers.
With a rich history dating back to 1926 and an exciting future ahead, Main Roads is not just about roads. It’s also about people.
Our services are delivered through the dedicated efforts of our talented, passionate, and dynamic employees, who are located in regional and metropolitan offices throughout the State.
About the Role
Contract Management Officers are a critical part of our project delivery teams, based on site and working on major road and infrastructure projects valued at more than $100m.
You will be working in the Office of Major Transport Infrastructure Delivery responsible for delivering the high value and high complexity major transport projects. These projects improve the wellbeing of current and future generations by maximising the social, cultural, environmental and economic opportunities.
We have a number of permanent vacancies for Contract Management Officers, classified at AWU Level 6 and CSA Level 5. While both roles are critical in ensuring contractual compliance and public safety across major infrastructure projects, they differ in scope and focus.
AWU Level 6 Officers are primarily responsible for coordinating and conducting surveillance and monitoring activities on large road and bridge contracts. They provide technical advice to ensure contractors meet their obligations and that safety standards are upheld during project delivery.
In contrast, the more senior CSA Level 5 Officers take on a broader remit, also undertaking audits and delivering specialist technical advice across the various phases of complex transport infrastructure projects.
In all these positions, your commitment to work health and safety is of utmost importance. You will apply your depth of experience in road or bridge construction and maintenance to identify risks; provide technical advice on quality matters; monitor works and traffic management for conformance, and work collaboratively with our contractors.
To be successful you will be able to work on projects as required, including those in the Metropolitan area and Regionally on a FIFO or DIDO arrangement.
Depending on project need, additional positions may be available on a permanent or fixed term basis (with the option of extension and/or permanency).
If this sounds interesting, we encourage you to apply and begin a career with Main Roads Western Australia.
