Health Support Services (HSS) is seeking a highly accomplished Principal Consultant to support the Chief Information Officer (CIO), within the Office of the CIO in the ICT Business Unit.

This pivotal executive role is ideal for a strategic professional with proven expertise in governance, reporting oversight, and advisory functions. Success will depend on exceptional stakeholder engagement, so outstanding communication skills, adaptability, and strong organisational capability are essential.

What you’ll do:

  • Deliver professional, executive-level support to the CIO and ICT Senior Leadership Team, including preparing agendas, executive papers, briefing notes, reports, and presentations.
  • Oversee and coordinate reporting arising from projects, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and clarity. You will also apply project methodologies across a variety of tasks, such as audits and subsequent remediation.

  • Manage confidential initiatives, coordinate consultants, and report on outcomes.
  • Serve as the key liaison for ICT executive matters, maintaining oversight of commitments and supporting cross-functional collaboration.
  • Champion a customer-centric culture, quality management, and continuous improvement across the organisation.

What you won’t do:

  • You will not be configuring systems, coding, or managing technical infrastructure. Instead, you will be at the centre of executive decision-making, governance, and strategic reporting.

What we’re looking for:

  • Demonstrable experience in executive administration, governance, reporting, and organisational skills.
  • Exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
