This is a 9 month fixed term, full-time position commencing ASAP with possible extension (12 months)
Statewide Services provides the services and supports required by schools to enable student achievement, with a focus on those students and schools that need it most. It encompasses both school and system-facing service delivery. While it primarily exists to support schools, it also has an important system-facing role supporting strategy and policy development.
Service Design and Support provides the shared functions and support needed to provide better services to schools. It also coordinates, implements and supports programs, initiatives, and special projects. Its purpose is to provide strategy, policy and program oversight and operational support to Statewide Services.
The Role
We are seeking a proactive and organised Online Communications Support Officer to join our Service Design and Support team. In this role, you will support the delivery services and professional learning provided through Statewide Services by maintaining and updating online communication platforms including the Department’s intranet, and ensuring accurate and engaging content is published. You will work closely with project managers and stakeholders to support content development, promote learning opportunities and maintain a customer-focused web presence.
As such, you should have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as sound knowledge content management systems and experience in managing and maintaining information systems, including websites and databases.
You may play a key role in supporting event coordination, administration, and logistics, where your strong organisational skills and attention to detail will contribute to the smooth delivery of services and help ensure deadlines are consistently met. In addition, you may contribute to maintaining comprehensive documentation for the Department’s online content systems, including technical manuals, policies, guidelines, and procedures, ensuring accuracy and accessibility across all platforms.
