This is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Full Time and Fixed
Term Part Time appointments, with the possibility of
extension(s). We are currently looking to appoint up to 6
successful candidates.
Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which
appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur.
Appointments may be made from this pool until 30/6/2027.
WA Health is embarking on an exciting journey of

the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Program?
The EMR Program is a consumer-centred program that supports
healthcare providers to perform their roles enabling safety and
quality to be at the heart of care for every consumer. The EMR
Program has been established to digitally transform WA Health’s
clinical information management systems by delivering a statewide
EMR solution for WA Health. The EMR Program will incorporate
changes to technology, business processes and culture. It will take
advantage of innovations in digital health care to improve patient
safety and quality of care for the Western Australian community
regardless of their location.
The EMR Program comprises several projects including:
- Clinical transformation;
- Technical and infrastructure delivery;
- Procurement and contract management;
- Workforce and change;
- Implementation planning; and
- Business, project, and program operations.
The EMR Program is seeking applications from experienced,
dynamic, and enthusiastic individuals. If you have experience
supporting the delivery of complex projects, and are keen to make a
difference across WA Health, we would love to hear from you.
About the Role:
The Senior Project Officer manages and coordinates the
development, implementation and evaluation of complex projects to
achieve project and EMR Program objectives.
The role includes developing project plans and schedules,
coordinating resources, managing risk and issues, budgets, meeting
reporting requirements, and supporting project-related activities;
to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to
quality standards and within agreed scope in line with established
EMR Program management methodology.
The role provides an opportunity to support the state-wide
transformation of WA Health.
