The Role

Carson Street School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cleaner in Charge to join their friendly team.  To be suitable for this role you should have a good attention to detail and will be able to work well both individually and as part of a team to ensure a clean and safe school environment. You will ideally be organised, reliable and punctual and have excellent knowledge of cleaning equipment and safe cleaning procedures, methods and practices.

The Cleaner In Charge is responsible for opening and closing the school. The role may requrie out internal cleaning duties. 

The Cleaner in Charge at Carson Street School works a split shift, 4.00am – 7.30am in the morning and 2.30pm - 6pm in the afternoon. 

The successful applicant will ideally have experience in supervising staff, as they will work alongside school staff and manage staff performance in consultation with the Manager Corporate Services. In addition, the Cleaner In Charge will liaise with the Manager Corporate Services on all cleaning matters, and record and respond to issues and concerns. They will maintain the cleaner’s time book, arrange relief staff, be responsible for monitoring and ordering stock supplies and stocktake of cleaning resources.
