WA Country
Health Service is seeking both experienced and developing staff
development nurses and midwives to work in Western Australia (WA)
in remote or regional locations, as well as Perth based positions.
For SDN’s these opportunities expand across newly qualified
nursing, transition to specialty programs, postgraduate
opportunities, along with the support of mandatory training and
professional development opportunities. Opportunities are available
for SDN in specialty areas such as but not limited to
perioperative, emergency nursing, chemotherapy/cancer services,
palliative care, aged care, and regularly unique opportunities open
up to meet changing service needs and new initiatives roll out.
WACHS also have a unique virtual SDN service running from the WACHS
Command Centre supported by emergency nursing SDNs if you are a
passionate educator we can match you with an innovative service
seeking to grow their staffing capability to ensure our country
patients can get the care they need close to home.
Opportunities
are available for direct entry Midwives to apply to become a WACHS
Staff Development Midwife working across the continuum of care in
maternity services regionally or Perth based. These opportunities
expand across newly qualified midwifery programs, postgraduate
opportunities, along with the support of mandatory training and
professional development opportunities. Regularly unique
opportunities also open to meet changing service needs and new
initiatives roll out.

WACHS-State Health Operations Centre: SDN/M are based in
Perth WA and are responsible for developing and coordinating
education across operational divisions.
