About the role

This role provides strategic leadership of the Epidemiological Analysis Team to deliver epidemiological analysis, public health research and data request services.

This position will manage the operations of the team in the review, development and delivery of epidemiological data, analysis and research. The resulting information is to be provided in formats that can be easily utilised by stakeholders in the support of strategic health policy and planning decisions.

This is one of two functional areas within the Epidemiology Directorate which is responsible for the collection, analysis and reporting of a wide range of population health data for Western Australia. The work of the Directorate is fundamental to the provision of evidence-based services designed to improve the health status of Western Australians.

To be successful in this role, you will need to show us your:

  • Strong leadership skills including your ability to lead change and maintain a positive and supportive team culture.
  • Knowledge and experience in epidemiology, including conducting complex analysis and provision of expert advice on a range of epidemiological data, methodologies and analyses.
  • Strong stakeholder focus and ability to establish and nurture strategic relationships and collaborations with a range of stakeholders in various contexts.
