About the role
As a Financial and Business Performance Analyst, you provide vital support in analysing, managing, and reporting on Legal Aid WA’s corporate financial and business performance data. Working closely within the management accounting and business intelligence team, you will contribute to the preparation of internal and external reports, assist in annual key efficiency and effective indicators and internal performance target setting, and ensure the integrity of data through analysis, consolidation, and testing activities.
Reporting to the Senior Analyst of Financial and Business Performance, you will collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to understand business needs, identify issues, and recommend practical solutions that enhance performance and data accuracy. The position also provides support to enable strategic and business insights analysist, by integrating financial and non-financial data, prepares and maintains corporate data documentation, and provides operational support to help achieve team objectives.
About you
The Financial and Business Performance Analyst role is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring the ability to meet tight deadlines and respond to both internal and external stakeholder requests. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in contemporary financial management practices and standards, including maintaining financial models, budgets, and management reports using large and integrated computerised systems.
You will be highly motivated, with strong analytical and communication skills, and have experience in preparing and presenting financial and business performance data to senior management and stakeholders.
It is also highly desirable to have demonstrated experience using reporting and data analysis tools such as Power BI and/or Power Query, along with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
