About the role

This is an exciting and unique opportunity for a motivated, organised, and passionate individual to join the Management Accounting Team at Legal Aid WA, where you will find genuine job satisfaction by applying your professional expertise to support the effective delivery of the organisation.

The position supports the Manager of Management Accounting in maintaining Legal Aid WA’s management accounting framework and contributes to effective financial management and decision-making across the organisation. Key responsibilities include management accounting, budget support and management, financial and budget performance analysis, costing and modelling, financial reporting, and assisting with business case development.

About you

The Management Accountant role is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring the ability to meet tight deadlines and respond to both internal and external stakeholder requests. The ideal candidate will have previous management accounting experience (including budgeting), along with good knowledge of financial analysis, management accounting principles, and accounting practices.

You will be highly motivated and possess strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills. The role also works closely with internal stakeholders, including senior executives and cost centre managers within Legal Aid WA, and liaises with the Legal Assistance Branch of the WA Department of Justice and the WA Department of Treasury.
