 This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part Time, Fixed Term Full Time or Fixed Term Part Time appointments with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency

Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 19/10/2026.

Position Profile

This position provides a high standard community nursing services consistent with Primary Health Care and interdisciplinary practice. Promotes and maintains collaborative relationships with clients, carers, peers and other members of the multidisciplinary team. Accepts responsibility for own actions and is accountable for own practice.

To be successful you will have:

  • Eligible for registration in the category of Registered nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Demonstrated advanced skills in clinical nursing practice and knowledge of Primary health Care
  • Principles
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and computer based communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability and commitment to working in a Primary Health Care team structure
  • Ability to travel with overnight stays as required
  • Current C Class Drivers Licence

About the Area

The Pilbara is WA’s second most northern region, defined by the Indian Ocean to the west and the Northern Territory border to the east. The Kimberley Region lies to its north across the Great Sandy Desert and the Pilbara’s southern reaches border the Midwest and Goldfields regions. The region covers a total area of 507,896sq km (including offshore islands). Most of the inhabitants are in the western third, whereas the eastern third is largely desert with few inhabitants. Today the Pilbara economy is crucial to the State, providing 2 of the State’s largest export revenue earners – iron ore and liquefied natural gas.
