This is a recruitment pool to
fill Permanent (Sessional, Part-Time or Full Time) and Fixed Term
(Sessional, Part-Time or Full Time) appointments. Fixed Term
appointments include the possibility of extension(s) and/or
permanency.
We currently have 1 FTE vacant
and can provide a Fixed-Term Full-Time contract for five years,
with the possibility of extension(s) and/or
permanency.
About the role:
As a Consultant Paediatrician, you will
provide high-quality clinical care to paediatric and neonatal
patients across the Goldfields region. While primarily based at
Kalgoorlie Health Campus, you will also contribute to services at
Esperance Hospital and outreach to surrounding
communities.
Working in close collaboration with the
Paediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist and our expert clinicians, you
will lead the delivery of patient-centred care, contribute to
clinical governance, and play an active role in policy development
and service improvement. This position also offers the opportunity
to mentor and supervise registrars, residents, and interns,
fostering the next generation of paediatric specialists.
You will be part of a dedicated team of
Paediatricians supported by five trainees, including a Senior
Registrar, Registrar, Residents, and an Intern. The role includes
an on-call component, allowing you to make a vital impact in
emergency and critical care situations, including neonatal
medicine.

Comparable’ due to the limitation in supervision provisions.
Those who have not applied for a comparability assessment with the
Royal Australian College of Physicians (RACP) Paediatrics and Child
Health Division - may be placed on hold and not assessed until a
determination can be provided. The RACP fellowship assessment
determines whether the training and qualifications of SIMG’s
are comparable to those of Australian-trained specialists in
paediatric practice. This assessment is crucial for ensuring that
all practitioners comply with Australian standards.
