The Department of Training and Workforce Development’s priority and focus remains on appointing merit based selected staff, permanently.

This talent register is an online portal that allows you to register your interest for short term contract opportunities (up to twelve (12) months) at the Department of Training and Workforce Development in a range of key positions across the Service Delivery Strategy branch.

Opportunities are temporary and may be full time or part time.

Once you apply, your CV will stay on the register for 12 months, after which time you may need to reapply.

The Role
The Apprenticeship Office, within the Department, is responsible for delivering an external facing customer service to a wide range of stakeholders in the Western Australian Apprenticeship and Traineeship ecosystem.  To achieve this business imperative, the Apprenticeship Office operates between the hours of 8:30am to 4:30pm.

The Administration Officer plays a critical role in supporting our stakeholders by providing consistent and accurate advice as well as assistance to ensure our customers are acting in accordance with the legislative provisions that govern apprenticeships and traineeships.

As you will be actively engaged with the Apprenticeship Office phone hotline, you ideally would have the demonstrated ability to deliver excellent customer service, including good verbal and written communication skills.

You will also be self-organised and self-driven, with good time management skills to work autonomously in order to meet operational requirements.  Working as an effective team member is also crucial to the success of this role. 

As a measure to achieve equality under sections 51, 66R and 66ZP of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, young people (24 years of age and under) and people with disability who meet the requirements of the position may be prioritised for appointment.
