As a member of the department, you will help support the development of Western Australia’s resources sector, which oversees resource development and improved environmental outcomes for mining, petroleum and exploration for the benefit of WA and future generations.

The Role

As the Manager Creative Services, you will assume an instrumental role in leading and managing the dynamic teams and services that include editing and publishing, graphics, mapping, library services, communications and engagement to prioritise and distribute workload and ensure delivery of integrated services where required. Liaising with business senior leadership, corporate services, project managers and specialists to achieve the delivery of high-quality products, events, projects, social media, maps, graphics and website material will also form a critical part of this position.

Your effectiveness in this role will be underpinned by your experience in using modern digital techniques in editing and publishing or map production or digital engagement, in tandem with considerable experience continuously improving business processes.

Advanced strategic management skills with experience leading, collaborating and developing staff, in collaboration with demonstrated planning and organisational skills, is also essential.

Eligibility

To be eligible for a permanent appointment, applicants must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia at the time of application. Applicants with a valid visa to work and live in Australia for a specific duration may be assessed and considered suitable for similar fixed term vacancies that arise.

To be eligible for fixed term employment you must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia or have a valid visa to live and work in Australia for the duration of the fixed term employment at the time of application.

Should a qualification be required for this position, applicants must provide their certification and/or academic transcripts to verify relevance to the job requirements. Qualifications obtained outside of Australia must be provided with an assessment from the Overseas Qualifications Unit to ensure they meet Australian Standards (this is a free service).

To work for DMPE, you must consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a clearance before you start. If deemed suitable, DMPE will coordinate and pay for your NCCHC as part of your pre-employment checks.
