We are seeking 6 exceptional Oral Health Therapy (OHT)
Graduates to join the Dental Health Services (DHS) Graduate
Development Program (GDP). This inaugural OHT GDP is specifically
designed to grow new graduates into confident practitioners and is
an ideal progression from university into clinical practice.
Consisting of a variety of supported clinical placements and a
structured education program, participation in the program will
kick-start your career whilst improving your skills and
capabilities.
This vacancy is for Fixed Term
Full-Time Appointments for upto 12 months from approx. 19 January
2026, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or
permanency.
What does the GDP
involve?
- Employment with DHS via a
12 month full-Time employment contract, with generous
allowances when in country locations, in addition to the base
salary
- Ability to practice full
OHT scope with placements in the Early Childhood Dental
Program, School Dental Service, Adult Dental Clinics and
Special Dental Services.
- Structured half day
educational session each week- equating to over 120 hours of
CPD
- Supported clinical
placements rotating through metropolitan and country
locations
- Access to program
clinical supervisors as well as clinical mentors and
support.
- External placement in a
Dental Specialty of choice and educational content from leading
WA Dental Specialists
- Collaborative and
supportive team of fellow Graduates
In this role you will provide dental care to
enrolled children in Dental Therapy Centres, eligible adult
patients in General Dental Clinics and oral health promotion and
minimally invasive treatments to eligible 0–4-year-old
children in the Community.
