About The
Role:
Western Australia County
Health Service (WACHS) is actively recruiting a variety of
Consultant Psychiatrists with a wealth of professional expertise
across various psychiatric specialties including general adult,
social and community, old age, child and adolescent, and addiction
psychiatry. We are especially seeking candidates who are
experienced in delivering comprehensive patient care across a
variety of settings, including both hospital and community
environments.

Joining the Consultant
Psychiatry pool means submitting one application to be considered
for multiple positions across WACHS throughout its duration. You

This pool accepts
applications from medical practitioners who hold Fellowship of the
Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatry or RANZCP
trainees who are in their penultimate year of training and have
completed all training requirements or Specialist International
Medical Graduates who meet the Medical Board of Australia recently
introduced the Expedited Specialist pathway. For more information

Applications without the possession of any of the above
qualifications or not listed on the
Medical Board of Australia - Expedited Specialist pathway: accepted
qualification list will not be
considered.
The applications submitted
via this pool will be reviewed periodically. After the assessment
of the applications, the Medical Recruitment Coordinator will
contact you to discuss opportunities tailored to you and assist you
throughout the recruitment process. If you are not ready to start

that to be eligible for a permanent appointment to the Western

Remuneration:
The advertised salary range
is based on classifications under the WA Health System – Medical
Practitioners AMA Industrial Agreement 2024. Classification and
level are determined by factors including qualifications and
experience, for a further breakdown of the salary, please refer to
the MedCareers advertisement:
Southern Regions
Year 1-9 (Goldfields, Great Southern, Midwest, Southwest and
Wheatbelt)
$377,556 - $479,490 per
annum (inclusive of base salary, PDL and 11.5%
superannuation)
OR
$723.76 - $919.16 per
session (inclusive of base sessional rate, PDL and 11.5%
superannuation)
Northern
Regions Year 1 - 6 (Kimberley and Pilbara)
$526,977 – $626,991 per
annum (inclusive of base salary, PDL and 11.5%
superannuation).
OR
$1010.20 - $1201.92 per
session (inclusive of base sessional rate, PDL and 11.5%
superannuation).
