Why Work With Us?

People and businesses rely on our roads to get to work, home and around Western Australia.

As the WA State Government Agency responsible for safely managing the State’s Road network, Main Roads Western Australia is committed to connecting people and places by delivering integrated and intelligent transport systems and services and providing safer roads and better journeys for our customers.

With a rich history dating back to 1926 and an exciting future ahead, Main Roads is not just about roads. It’s also about people.

Our services are delivered through the dedicated efforts of our talented, passionate, and dynamic employees, who are located in regional and metropolitan offices throughout the State.

About the Role

Are you ready to lead high-impact ICT projects that shape the future of Main Roads? As our Senior ICT Project Manager, you’ll take charge of planning, executing, and delivering complex technology initiatives that align with our strategic organisational goals. You'll ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget; navigating risks, managing dependencies, and driving outcomes across multiple stakeholders.

This is more than just project management; it's about building strong, trusted relationships. You’ll be the key connector between technical and business teams, and external partners, ensuring clear communication, shared objectives, and transparent progress at every stage.

Working closely with our ICT Project Management Office (PMO) you'll champion adherence to our ICT governance frameworks, policies, and regulatory requirements while driving best practice project methodologies. You'll also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that elevate how we deliver ICT solutions.

In this leadership role, you’ll guide cross-functional teams, mentor junior staff, and create a collaborative, high-performance environment where people thrive and projects succeed.

We’re looking for a strategic thinker and inclusive leader. You will be someone who leads with integrity and professionalism. Your emotional intelligence, strong judgement, and ability to influence will help you build trust and shape outcomes across a diverse stakeholder landscape.

You’ll bring a solutions-focused mindset, resilience in the face of change, and the ability to solve complex problems that support public sector priorities and deliver real impact.

If you're excited by the opportunity to make a difference and grow your career at Main Roads, we’d love to hear from you.
