Eligibility to Apply: To be
eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa
(for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen,
permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in
Australia (for permanent appointments).
Other Conditions: WA Health engages

Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which
appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments

Position Profile: This is a key
central position in the Patient Safety and Clinical Quality
Directorate’s leadership team. Working with the Executive
Director, it coordinates delivery of programs and projects across
the eight teams within the Directorate. This position also leads
the Executive Office Policy and Projects team which provides the
Directorate’s interface to national committees and partners
in safety and quality, provides corporate support for other teams
within the Directorate as well as undertaking special projects
(e.g. coordinating systemwide investigations and reviews as
required by the Director General).
Area Profile: The Patient Safety and Clinical
Quality Directorate comprises the Executive Office, Policy and
Projects team, Licensing Accreditation Regulatory Unit, Strategic
Plan Program Management Unit, S&Q Workforce Capability Unit,
Assisted Reproductive Technology Legislative Unit/Reproductive
Technology Unit, Healthcare Quality Intelligence Unit, Patient
Safety Surveillance Unit and Medicines and Technology Unit.
Together, and working with health service providers, national and
international partners; these teams deliver safety and quality and
clinical governance programs with the aim of improving staff
experience and patient outcomes across the WA health
system
