Position Profile:

In collaboration with the Clinical Nurse Manager, Immunisation Services, the Clinical Nurse is responsible for the provision of clinical and professional expertise in relation to immunisation to ensure comprehensive evidence-based knowledge, care and advice is delivered to patients and their families. The role may include:

  • counselling and education of patients with complex medical conditions and families in relation to immunisations, including those who have experienced and adverse event following immunisation
  • planning and delivery of complex care to patients and their families in relation to immunisation needs
  • advocating for patients and families and collaborating with them and other members of the health care team to achieve health goals
  • coordinating the daily activities of the unit / clinic
  • participating effectively as a member of the immunisation and broader infectious diseases team

CAHS is made up four service areas: Neonatology, Community Health, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), and Perth Children’s Hospital (PCH).
