The Role

Are you highly organised, skilled in financial administration and customer-focused?

The School Officer plays a vital part in supporting the College’s operations; this position will primarily support the school in a financial capacity, among other responsibilities. Working closely under the Finance and Administration Officer, the School Officer will take a lead role in managing accounts receivable including receipting payments, maintaining student accounts (including account adjustments such as reversals, discounts and transfers), generating statements/reminders and following up with debtors. They will also take on administrative finance functions - monitoring finance inboxes, supporting families with billing-related queries and coordinating debt collection processes.

Hammond Park SC provides a range of payment methods for our school community, including cash, EFTPOS, direct deposit, BPAY, Compass Pay and Baycorp collections. Experience in handling monies and using payment collection platforms will be well regarded, however, is not essential. With over 1000 students at the College, the School Officer handles a high volume of transactions on a daily basis. The ability to action requests in a timely and professional manner is highly regarded.

In this role, attention to detail, confidence working with financial data and a strong commitment to customer service are important attributes. As well as the ability to communicate clearly, solve problems proactively and maintain confidentiality. We are ideally seeking someone who brings a positive attitude, strong organisational skills and the flexibility to support in broader financial administration processes when needed.

Applicants who have experience with RM Billing, RM Finance, SIS Integris, Compass (including Compass Events and Compass Pay), Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel will be highly regarded, however, training in software and processes will be provided. This is a fantastic opportunity for those aspiring to Finance Officer or Manager Corporate Services roles to gain hands-on experience in working with high-volume financial transactions, strengthen their understanding of policies and procedures and further develop their financial administration skills in a dynamic, supportive school environment.

If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and want to contribute in a team that makes a difference every day, we’d love to hear from you..
