communities. As a Clinical Nurse, you will play a crucial role in
managing, coordinating, and delivering high-quality nursing care to
our patients.
This is an
“open-ended” recruitment pool, and as such the
following should be noted:
- The panel will monitor
this recruitment pool for applications, and will assess on a
regular basis.
- Suitable applicants will
be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when
similar vacancies occur.

In this role, you will oversee
a range of services, including 24-hour accident and emergency care,
acute admission beds, community care for the elderly, residential
aged care, and respite beds. Your advanced nursing expertise and
leadership will ensure that each patient receives the best possible
care tailored to their individual needs.
Our ideal candidates
will have:
- A minimum of 4
years’ experience working in an Emergency
Department.
- Triage
competence.
- Advanced nursing practice
within residential aged care and acute clinical care
settings.
- Strong planning,
coordination, and decision-making skills, and the ability to
prioritise patient care.
- Well-developed leadership
abilities and effective teamwork skills.
- Excellent verbal and
written communication skills and interpersonal
skills.
- Thorough knowledge of
quality and risk management principles.
- Eligibility for or
possession of a current C or C-A class driver’s
licence.
- Commitment to best
practices in a rural health care environment.
- Dedication to delivering
health care with cultural sensitivity to First Nations
communities.
Key responsibilities
include:
- Managing, coordinating,
and evaluating nursing care for patients in a variety of
settings.
- Acting as a clinical
expert and providing professional advice on clinical
standards.
- Coordinating the
operational management of the unit on a shift
basis.
- Leading
multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the highest standard of
healthcare delivery.
- Monitoring nursing
practice and implementing management strategies.
- Participating in quality
improvement initiatives and research programmes.
