This is an exciting opportunity to
join the WA Country Health Service Team at our Hedland Health
Campus in the Pilbara, as a Clinical Nurse Specialist
– Mental Health Liaison
Position Profile: The prime objective is to
triage and assess all patients presenting to the Emergency
Department, who may be considered at risk or requiring a specialist
mental health assessment. Responsible for providing a specialised
clinical mental health consultancy service to the Emergency
Department and other areas of Hedland Health Campus, outside of the
operating hours of the Community Mental Health Service.
To be a strong candidate for this role, we are looking
for:
- Significant, relevant clinical in provision of mental
health services in an acute adult mental health setting.
- Demonstrated advanced skills in the nursing management of
complex psychiatric presentations, risk assessment, crisis
intervention and management of aggression in a clinical
setting.
- Demonstrated advanced written, verbal and interpersonal
communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake a leadership role within
a multidisciplinary team environment.
- A working knowledge of computers and information systems
relevant to the position/role.
