About the Graduate Program
We are a multifaceted organisation with a wide range of business operational functions. Your experience and skill development won't be limited to one area. As you rotate throughout our organisation, you'll develop a diverse range of skill, knowledge and experience to help you take your career in a direction that interests you.
Our Business Graduate program is a two-year rotational program that is tailored to each individual, based on your skills, strengths and interests.
We currently have positions available in our 2026 Graduate Business Program to offer recent graduates with the following tertiary qualifications:
- Business
- Commerce
- Majors in Economics or Relevant disciplines
- Finance
- Business Law

To be considered for our Graduate Business Program, you must be:
- A recent university graduate with successful completion or your relevant degree between December 2023 to December 2025.
- An Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
Please submit the following documentation in your application:
- A copy of your completed Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce (Majors in Economics or Relevant disciplines, Finance or Business Law and your most recent academic transcript. If you are completing your degree this year, please submit your most recent academic results. Overseas qualifications will need to be accompanied with confirmation of Australian equivalency
- Your CV
- A copy of your current WA motor vehicle (car) Driver’s Licence (or approved equivalent)
- Proof of Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
- A cover letter of no more than 2 pages outlining why you are interested in working for the Main Roads Graduate Business Program, and how you demonstrate the following qualities:
- When you have worked in a team environment creating successful outcomes
- Used your communication skills through work, university or other areas to clearly explain a situation or task.
- Ability to solve a problem or problems in a workplace, university or other areas you have experienced.
Please ensure your cover letter does not exceed two (2) pages.
Relocation support will not be available for this Perth based position.
Successful applicants will need to complete a pre-employment medical questionnaire and a National Police Check prior to appointment.
