Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.

Position Profile: We are seeking an experienced Principal Toxicologist who will apply disciplines of toxicology and risk assessment to a broad range of complex environmental data, assessments and evaluations in the context of public health.
The Principal Toxicologist  is responsible for the evaluation of complex toxicological and exposure data and develops strategies for managing potential, actual and emerging issues associated with toxicological and chemical hazards across areas such as contaminated land, food and air quality. They provide expert and reliable technical advice to the Chief Health Officer (including as their Delegate), Executive, government and a wide range of external stakeholders, including the general public, industry, auditors and other professionals.
