Corporate Information Services are seeking to establish a pool of Information Access Officers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during 2025 and up to the end of August 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
The Business and Customer Services (BCS) Directorate supports the objectives and outcomes of clients by providing value for money corporate services through skilled and motivated people. BCS aims to deliver services within an environment of standardised systems and processes.
The Corporate Information Services Branch works to improve information quality, accessibility, reliability and security to support departmental business and is responsible for the provision of records management, Freedom of Information (FOI) and Library services.
The Role
Suitable applicants will assist with case management for the release of information while also providing routine advice to telephone and email enquiries from the public, external stakeholders and departmental staff about access to information.
As the Information Access Officer, you will research and analyse information release issues under direction of Senior Information Access Officers. You will be responsible for ensuring requests, correspondence and other documentation is filed electronically and kept up to date so that management and reporting requirements are met.
