About The Role:

Senior Project Manager (Regional) is responsible for infrastructure project and program delivery, including the project management of medium to significant risk projects in regional and remote communities, and the oversight of a wide range of

minor works and maintenance activities. The role leads project teams of departmental and private sector professionals to plan, deliver and maintain buildings for Government, and works closely with local industry and regional client agencies to promote whole-of-government policies and objectives. The role contributes to strategic asset planning undertaken by government agencies, the development of capital works business cases and asset investment proposals and programs and are responsible for the management of the Department of Finance’s (Finance) regional offices.

About You:

You will be self motivated and will mange teams based in Karratha and South Hedland.

You will be passionate in supporting local (regional) communities through the delivery of high quality services to maintain, build or restore infrastructure across the Pilbara.

You will have an appreciation and familiarity of the challenges that exist in the delivery of construction projects, maintenance and related services ideally within a regional environment.

This position operates in the context of Leading Others. This means that you will motivate and enable others to deliver high quality work. You will balance time between doing the work and coaching, guiding and developing others. This requires a significant shift in thinking from ‘doing’ to supporting others to ‘do good work’; and consideration of present and future needs when allocating time to the team and projects you lead. You will articulate how work is to be done, providing clear direction and constructive feedback.
