About The Role:

The Senior Procurement Officer provides professional procurement advice to clients and develops and/or manages medium and low risk whole of government or departmental contracts. This involves developing business cases, procurement plans, tender and evaluation documents, and contract management plans. The position will provide support and advice for all types of contracts; consult with government agencies, industry and the community, and maintain positive and effective stakeholder relationships. This position also works closely with internal and external stakeholders to promote compliance with the Department of Finance’s standards, processes and procedures.

About You:

We are seeking motivated and talented professionals with a passion for providing great customer service who are able to demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills with an ability to tailor communication style to their target audience. These roles also require strong interpersonal, analytical, time management and problem-solving skills. We are looking for individuals who display high attention to detail, have the ability to work with diverse stakeholders and are willing to learn and develop. We seek someone who shares our vision and values and has the energy and drive to see that goals are achieved and realign priorities when required. The ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge of the Microsoft suite. Candidates should have previous experience in contract and/or project management/development, and a good working knowledge of the WA Procurement Rules is desirable.

The position operates in Personal Leadership context. This means that you are required to demonstrate personal accountability for delivering excellence and support your team and agency in delivering strategic goals. You will be expected to build and nurture relationships and be willing to seek feedback and learn.
