This is a permanent full-time position commencing as soon as possible

The School Curriculum and Standards Division provides administrative and secretariat services for, and implements, the decisions of the School Curriculum and Standards Authority (the Authority). The Authority provides quality curriculum, assessment and standards to enable all Western Australian students to become confident, creative learners and active, informed citizens who contribute positively to society.

The School Curriculum and Standards Division is seeking a qualified, highly motivated and committed Principal Consultant - Primary, Curriculum and Assessment specialist with skills, experience and knowledge across Pre-primary to Year 6. In particular, candidates having experience and knowledge in the Science curriculum, will be highly considered.

The Role

As the Principal Consultant, you will organise, facilitate and coordinate information sessions for staff from schools, regions, professional associations and school systems/sector and conducts teacher seminars, as required. It will be your responsibility to facilitate consultation and collaborative processes between the systems, sector, schools and other stakeholder organisations to share ideas and devise common curriculum and assessment approaches.

As the successful candidate, you will develop and review curriculum and assessment to support implementation of the Western Australian Curriculum and Assessment Outline. You will monitor, review and report on the implementation and delivery of curriculum initiatives, standards, projects and programs.
