The Office of Digital Government (DGov) is leading the digital transformation of the WA public sector to support agencies in improving service delivery to the community. This includes providing more convenient access to government services online and not disadvantaging those who cannot or do not want to use digital services. Ensuring that personal information and data collected, stored and shared by the WA Government is protected is a crucial element of what we do.
About the Role
Cyber Security Tester undertakes cyber security and technical vulnerability testing of WA Government systems, networks, and applications. As a member of the cyber security testing team, you will:
- Perform security testing on a variety of different environments, including but not limited to:
- External penetration tests against both traditional and cloud environments
- Internal penetration tests against enterprise environments, large and small
- Web and thick client application assessments
- Provide actionable advice to defenders on how to better secure their networks, systems, and applications, including working with the Whole of Government Cyber Security Operations Centre (SOC) to continuously improve their detection and mitigation strategies.
- Contribute to the improvement of testing methodologies by performing research into adversary tools, techniques, and procedures to ensure that penetration tests are representative of the threat environment.

Suitable applicants will be required to provide:
- Proof of identity 100-point check.
- A satisfactory National Police Certificate issued by the Western Australian Police Force that is less than two months from the date of issue.
